Skin Update 1/3: Face
It hurts to look at these photos 😖
But, it also makes me so incredibly grateful for this journey 🙏
Skin Update Part 1/3: Face
A couple of really big milestones here. Photo #1 after a recent facial at Palms Skin Studio; no make up, no filter. The old me would have never been seen without make up, now it’s a regular thing. 🥰
#2 Early 2015 just about to be sent to hospital for an infection at four weeks pregnant.
#3 Early 2019 after consuming some food that I’m allergic to (hello Mrs Puffy!)
The secret? Finding the right nutrition and healing from the inside out. This meant a more keto style/higher protein diet and definitely no sugar (of any type). Avoiding allergies and finding out what those were. For me it was coconut, pollen and citrus which are common in skincare and avoiding other food allergies internally. Regular facials every 5/6 weeks. Committing to a skincare range that worked for my skin and not using foundation on top that ruined all the hard work underneath (I switched to Deco by Dermaviduals). Lots of sleep. Water, and a sprinkle of self confidence with a smile.
Still always room for improvement and skin is something I’ll always have to work on. But I’m so thankful for my drive to keep searching for better solutions/answers.
Part 2/3 coming soon where I go into detail around eczema on the rest of my body. 🤓
